What are some thoughts on “Thank You” notes?

It is estimated that only 15% of construction executives who are construction interviewed actually send thank you notes. Those that do are often considered a cut above the rest, and are more likely to be moved to the top of the selection pile. Basic courtesy requires that you send your host a thank you note even if the construction interview bombed. In addition to being the right thing to do, and something that can more you to the top of the selection pile, thank you notes provide an opportunity to reiterate your 5 most marketable points which remind the construction employer why you are the right construction executives. If you send a thank you note, make sure to send the notes within 24 hours if possible, and remember emails are acceptable but usually not as effective as written notes.
